ABOUT MIXED DEFENSIVE TACTICS
Mixed Defensive Tactics Street Combat
CQC-CQB Blunt & Edged Weapons
Combat Arnis- Modern Arnis
LE-Military & Civilian Applications
The Mixed Defensive Tactics Street Combat (MDTSC) system combines the best of a wide variety of ancient and modern styles into a practical approach that is highly effective in numerous scenarios. Techniques come from various styles including: Wing Chun’s concepts of empty hand such as trapping, passing, striking, grabbing, locking and punching, American Boxing fundamentals such as punching, footwork and movement, Filipino Arts methods such as grabbing, punching, passing, locking and striking, Jujitsu skills such as locking, trapping and takedowns, JKD’s focus on an open mindset, ranges of combat, kicking and drills, and finally Krav Maga’s principles of angles, blocks and counter strikes.
This practical approach is taught in the context of real world scenarios involving improvised and real weapons. The course includes a variety of practical exercises and techniques that build on natural human bio-mechanical and gross motor skill movements. The program is a way of understanding how to dynamically use basic motions to defend yourself and control or disarm your attacker. There is no emphasis on showy or fancy moves. Instead, the focus is on tactical, reality based skills using a wide variety of tools or empty hands. Any move in this program that works for an edged tool will also work for a projectile tool ( firearm), an impact tool or with empty hands.
The program answers the fundamental question: When and how would I appropriately and effectively use an edged or other tool to defend myself and others?
In summary, the methods, techniques and skills taught are practical, consistent, fast and effective against a variety of different attacks. MDTSC has been designed to meet the unique legal and physical challenges of today’s high threat environment. It is not a style of martial arts fighting. It is principles of motion tied into conceptual and physical patterns that are readily learned, practiced and applied to make real world self defense easier to understand and accomplish.

SRT is example of unity. Efficiency, comfort, low profile, diversity.
All that in one selfdefence tool.
Great piece of thoughtful work. Highly recommended!
Much appreciation to Shuki Drai.

I love this tool.
Working in law enforcement for over 20 years, this is a must have for your gear. It can break a window easily and cut a seatbelt with ease. This needs to be in every car on the road and not just for police cars. It is a practical, light weight tool that can defend you if needed. A tool like this needs to be kept close.
“It is best to be prepared than swift afterwards”
I’m a retired Police Commander with over 40 years of experience in all things tactical. I spent 20 of those years in our prestigious Miami Dade Special Response Team. I thought there was not much left to learn until I had the privilege of training with Sensei Shuki Drai. His approach to using tools to force multiply hand to hand skills is unprecedented. His S.R.T. is a compact, streamlined and ingenious device that offers multiple life saving benefits. It is non-lethal but quite effective at both controlling an adversary or getting you out of dangerous spot. It is a warriors modern day “Swiss Army Knife”. The S.R.T. ultimately allows a user to develop skills that seamlessly translate to unarmed and armed combat yet can easily be concealed and carried on a daily basis. I don’t go anywhere without it.
